A full footprint basement conversion and ground floor reconfiguration has transformed this idyllic double-fronted family home in Wandsworth Common.

Below ground, Qualitas replaced the old storage cellar with a light and airy basement conversion that contains three light wells – two at the front and one at the rear – for maximum fenestration.

The new floor houses everything a growing family could wish for: a bedroom with en-suite, a children’s play area, a games room, a study, a TV room, a utility room, a wine room and even a shower room with a sauna.

On the ground floor, we carried out some structural work to open out the ground floor to meet the client’s lifestyle requirements. A large L-shaped kitchen and U-shaped family room make perfect living space, while a formal reception was created for some distinct adult space.

The clients are delighted with the results and the fantastic new living space it has created for them.
